Frequently Asked Questions

Here, we will go through some questions about the modalities that Dr. Danielle uses in her practice, as well as some common questions from patients regarding Chiropractic Care.

Question 1: What is Diversified Chiropractic Adjusting?

Chiropractic looks at the body as a whole system through the lens of the nervous system. We focus on the potential for each nerve to have clear communication to the organ or muscle that it controls.

That means that not only could these nerves be interrupted at the spine but also within the extremities. That is why at Eastern Sierra Chiropractic, Dr. Danielle uses different techniques to evaluate and adjust any joint in the body that has the potential to release that interruption.

Question 2: What is Craniosacral & Soft Tissue Therapy

Dr. Danielle offers not only chiropractic adjustments, but incorporates craniosacral and soft tissue work. She believes that in order to make changes in the body both the muscular and the skeletal system should be addressed. She is trained in Craniosacral, Biogeometric Integration (BGI), Extremity Adjusting, Pregnancy and Pediatric adjusting.

Question 3: What does Pedriatric & Pregnancy Adjusting Involve?

Dr. Danielle is experienced in adjusting people of all ages. She believes that even the smallest of humans can benefit from chiropractic care.Early chiropractic care can help align the nervous system from the very start of life.

Creating a stronger immune system and regulating the balance between "fight or flight" and "rest and digest."

Question 4: What is the Activator Chiropractic Method?

The Activator Chiropractor Method utilizes a spring-loaded device that delivers a quick, low-force impulse to specific areas of the spine or extremities.

The speed and precision of the instrument prevent muscles from tensing and resisting the treatment, which can often be an issue with manual adjustments.

Question 5: What is involved in Extremity Adjusting?

This is specialized technique where Dr. Danielle uses to manipulate the joints in the body outside of the spine, such as the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

This method is to restore proper alignment and function, alleviate pain, and improve range of motion in those areas; essentially, it's adjusting any joint in the body that isn't part of the spinal column.

Question 6: What are Postural Based Exercies?

If your posture problem is caused by strained muscles or ligaments, your chiropractor may use techniques such as massage, trigger point therapy, or stretching to release the tension and improve flexibility.

These exercises can help to improve posture by lengthening the muscles and allowing them to move more freely.
